Currently Simple Cal Sync only supports Google based calendars, but support for iCloud, Microsoft Team, Exchange, and other calendar systems is under development.
Specify which calendars you want to connect. Decide if you want to copy events as private calendar blocks or included the event details. Optionally, you can pick a color for copied events.
After setup, Simple Cal Sync runs in the background watching for new or changed events on source calendars, and automatically makes the appropriate updates on all connected calendars.
Have more than just one personal and work calendar, Simple Cal Sync allows you to connect multiple calendars, and specify multiple connections for copying events. You can also specify different settings for each calendar connection.
Only want to sync events during your work hours? Want to include event locations and details? Want to sync'd events to be color-coded? Simple Cal Sync let's you customize the sync behavior to fit your preferences.
Once setup, Simple Cal Sync watches all of your calendars for any changes and automatically updates all connected calendars. If the time of an event gets updated, or if it is canceled, connected calendars stay up to date.
If you want to be able to view multiple calendars in a single place pretty much every major calendar app can connect to multiple calendars and provide you a unified view. But if your coworkers want to check your availability they only see events that are on your main calendar. Simple Cal Sync ensures that your main calendar represents your true availability by creating private calendar blocks on your main calendar that stay in sync with events from your personal calendar.
Whether you realize it or not, any admin in your Google Workspace can see the details of all of your calendar events, even if you have your calendar sharing settings setup to only share your free/busy details. This is why you should never include details about personal events on your work calendar, unless you are okay with your coworkers finding out about them. Using a service like Simple Cal Sync allows you to keep you personal events truly private, but still keeps your actual availability up to date on your work calendar.
